Welcome to Devon Powerboating, I am John Kerchey Watersports Director and Chief Instructor.
Devon Powerboating is a fully endorsed RYA training centre that offers the full range
of formal RYA powerboat and jet ski courses, including RYA Shorebased training, and
qualifications. However, should you just wish to refresh your skills or brush up
on a particular discipline I am happy to discuss your requirements and agree a package
to meet your needs.
In addition to training we also offer a wide range of RIB charter opportunities,
including dive work and corporate or private events, as well as fast RIB rides, coastal
adventures, and children's Birthday rides. Devon Powerboating now offer jet ski
hire with a qualified and experienced RYA instructor. Join us for a taster session,
a jet ski adventure or for the more adventurous our "wet and wild" playtime .
All of our skippers are fully qualified RYA powerboat instructors. As the Principal
Instructor I personally select additional staff members placing a high emphasis on
powerboat handling experience, capabilities, safety application and personality.
Although they all are passionate about power boating and jet skiing, their experiences
are not limited to these disciplines alone. They are capable in a wide range of other
water based activities and when not training you are likely to find them on the water
sailing, wakeboarding, windsurfing or sea/white water kayaking.
